The Solution
In response to the client’s specific handling challenges, Packline Materials Handling developed a custom drum lifting solution tailored to the handling of Mauser drums. The solution features fully powered lift, lower, gripping, and 180° rotation, eliminating manual effort and significantly improving operator safety and workflow efficiency.
A key innovation in this project was the incorporation of a new planetary motor system, which reduced the overall size of the drum handling attachment. This compact design allowed the equipment to manoeuvre easily in tight production areas. The updated motor system also improved the machine’s balance, ensuring a smoother and more reliable clamping and rotating action.
