Tool & Die Lifting Overview

Compac with Single Spindle & Die Block

The Compac Stainless Steel Lifter along with the Single Spindle and Die Block provide a versatile solution for lifting and positioning tooling such as Dies and Cutters commonly used on Packaging Machinery.

This attachment provides the easy handling of Die Block tooling to and from storage and production machinery.

Four chains can be supplied which are hung from the sliding hub support. These chains enable the die blocks to be quickly and safely attached, even when hot. Slings are also available.
The Compac Lifting Machine raises and lowers the attachment by a battery powered mechanism and this is operated by simple up and down buttons which are located ergonomically on the machines handle bars.

Offering strength, durability and ease of operating. This is entirely suitable for the food industry and other hygienic applications as the solution is manufactured in stainless steel.
The attachment is backed up by a full bespoke design service ensuring the right solution can be made to suit any style or size of die block. All Packline attachments are fully interchangeable and can be easily fixed or removed from any model of Compac lifting machine that is fitted with the quick release system.

Lifting capacity of up to 250kg depending upon model.

Die Block Options

Die block lifting offers a safe method of lifting and handling heavy or awkward tools, dies or cutters in the work place. Using a Single Spindle to facilitate the reach required the Die Block can be positioned along the spindle arm above the object to be lifted and locked into place with a simple hand screw. Chains are then attached to the Die Block hooks and the tool or item to be lifted and the safely lifted away or back into place.

Die Blocks are becoming increasingly useful in modern day workshops and factories.  This attachment provides the easy handling of Die Block tooling and allows tooling and other more awkward shaped items to be lifted and moved safely with the heavy duty version handling up to 300kg and the standard duty version capable of up to 100kg.

Packline are able to offer standard Single Spindle and Twin Spindle attachments, which are proven in the field, and then the addition of a Die Block means they can be used for multiple applications.

Chains or straps can be hung from the hooks of the Die Blocks, both of which can also be supplied by Packline.

A Star Knob allows the Block to be secured in place on the Spindle to ensure it does not move whilst lifting a heavy load and it means they can be adjusted for lifting multiple items which may have differently spaced lifting points.

Standard Duty and Heavy Duty options are available as well as different methods of hooking on to chains or straps.

The standard chain length is 500mm.  This is suitable for tooling of max. size 500mm x 600mm with the longer side towards front.  This gives a 350mm drop from the spindle to the fixings.  For smaller tools chains can be attached to give a shorter length and drop.

The attachment is not designed to have just one chain bearing all the load on one side.  It is important that the load is spread between both hooks and on all four chains.

Please note, we do not supply the fixing method to attach the chains to the tool, for example a bolt or hook, unless required and specified.

The Die Block is manufactured from stainless steel.  The Chains are made from mild steel which is zinc plated.
