Bespoke Clamp and Rotate Attachment for Safe Handling of Heavy Tooling
Packline’s clamp and rotate heavy tooling attachment is designed specifically for manufacturing and engineering environments where heavy tools must be handled, positioned and transported safely and efficiently. This bespoke handling solution allows operators to slide tooling from a storage trolley directly onto the attachment in a horizontal orientation, minimising manual handling and improving workplace safety.
Once positioned, the tooling is securely retained using both horizontal and vertical geared clamping mechanisms, operated via an ergonomic hand-wheel to ensure precise and controlled clamping. The attachment enables smooth rotation of the tooling from horizontal to vertical, allowing operators to safely assemble components or add materials before transport.
In typical applications, the tooling consists of two parts used to manufacture rubber seals or gaskets. With the tooling rotated to the vertical position, the rubber material can be accurately inserted, followed by placement of the upper tool section. The fully assembled tooling can then be safely transported to a press or oven for processing.
Custom engineered to suit specific tooling dimensions and workflows, this clamp and rotate attachment can handle tooling weights of up to 160kg as standard, with higher load capacities available on request.
