The heavy-duty drum handling clamp was designed in response to a customer enquiry in the pharmaceutical industry to lift and rotate stainless steel drums in a high care clean room environment.
This lifting solution offers geared rotation and a manual gripping mechanism with electric lift and lower functions.
The drum handling equipment lifts the drums from stainless steel pallets and transports to a mixing tank, where the contents of the drum can be emptied using the rotation facility of the drums.
The clamp attachment has a geared handwheel to provide the easy grip and release action of the drums which are secured by the external diameter. The mechanism is fitted with a torque limiter so that the gripping rollers do not over or under tighten the drum.
This lifting solution is manufactured from stainless steel which makes it entirely suitable for the pharmaceutical industry and other hygienic applications.
Furthermore, it is backed up by a full bespoke design service so ensuring that the right solution can be made to suit most reels.
All Packline attachments are fully interchangeable and can be easily fitted or removed from any model of ‘Compac’ lifting machine that is fitted with the quick release system.
This attachment is also available with powered drum rotation.
The lift capacity is 230kg, however, a variety of capacities and to suit various drum widths, are available on request.
