Tool & Die Lifting Overview

Tool & Die Lifting Solution – Compac Lifter with Single Spindle & Die Block

Efficient, Safe Handling of Dies, Cutters and Tooling

Packline’s Compac Stainless Steel Lifter, combined with the Single Spindle and Die Block attachment, provides a highly versatile solution for lifting, positioning and transporting tooling such as dies, cutters and other components commonly used in packaging machinery and production environments.

This specialised lifting attachment enables the safe and ergonomic handling of die block tooling between storage areas and processing or packaging machinery, improving productivity while reducing manual handling risks.

Hygienic, Heavy-Duty Lifting for Industrial Applications

Manufactured from high-quality stainless steel, the Compac system is suitable for use in food processing, pharmaceutical, and other cleanroom or hygienic applications. Designed for strength, durability and operator safety, this attachment delivers reliable performance in demanding industrial environments.

The Compac Lifter utilises a battery-powered lifting mechanism, operated via simple, ergonomic up/down controls located on the lifter’s handlebars, ensuring easy and precise vertical movement.

Safe and Flexible Die Block Handling

The Die Block attachment offers a controlled and secure method of lifting heavy or awkwardly shaped tools, dies or cutters. Using the Single Spindle, the die block can be positioned along the spindle arm and locked into place using an easy-to-use hand screw.

Key features include:

  • Four lifting chains (optional) suspended from the sliding hub support for quick and safe attachment – even when the tooling is hot
  • Optional slings for additional versatility
  • Star Knob locking system to hold the Die Block firmly in position on the spindle
  • Standard and Heavy-Duty options available
  • Suitable for lifting tools with varied spacing of lifting points
  • Lifting capacities:
    • Standard Duty: up to 100kg
    • Heavy Duty: up to 300kg
    • Compac Lifter capacity: up to 250kg (model dependent)

Chains or straps can be securely hung from the Die Block hooks. The standard chain length is 500mm, suitable for tooling up to 500mm x 600mm. Shorter drops can be achieved by adjusting the chain attachment position.

Important: The attachment must not be used with a single chain carrying the full load; weight must be evenly distributed across all hooks and chains.

Bespoke Design to Suit Any Die Block Style or Size

Packline offers a complete custom design service, ensuring the perfect attachment can be created for your specific die block style, size or application. All Packline lifting attachments are fully interchangeable and can be quickly fitted or removed using the Compac quick-release system, making the lifter adaptable for multiple tasks.

Construction & Materials

  • Die Block: Stainless steel
  • Chains: Mild steel, zinc-plated
  • Spindle options: Standard Single Spindle or Twin Spindle
  • Optional slings, chains and alternative hook configurations available on request

A Versatile Lifting Solution for Modern Workshops

With the increasing use of die blocks in modern manufacturing and packaging facilities, Packline’s Compac with Single Spindle and Die Block attachment provides a safe, efficient and ergonomic method for handling heavy or awkward tools. Its adaptability allows one lifter to support multiple tasks across production, maintenance, and tooling operations.
