Stainless Steel Roll Lifter with Wide Cradle Attachment for Handling Wider Rolls

Packline has supplied a stainless-steel Roll Lifter with a Wide Cradle Attachment to support the safe and efficient handling of wider rolls of film during loading onto a processing line mandrel.

The customer required a roll handling solution capable of lifting and positioning large, wide rolls at a working height of up to 7 feet / 213cm, while leaving the mandrel free for loading operations. The existing mandrel used by the customer measured approximately 40 inches / 1016mm wide, creating the need for a specially configured cradle attachment and an extended lift height.

• A lift capable of reaching approximately 99 inches to accommodate a 7-foot loading height

The application involved loading rolls of film onto the mandrel of a processing line, requiring both operator safety and precise roll positioning.

Packline designed and supplied a stainless-steel Roll Lifter fitted with a bespoke Wide Cradle Attachment, specifically engineered for handling larger and wider rolls safely and efficiently.

The addition of the stabilised carriage was particularly important for this application, as it prevented vibration and movement of the wider rolls during operation, improving both safety and precision.
