The static floor mounted ‘Compac’ Drum Lifter was designed in response to a customer requirement in the pharmaceutical industry to handle drums in a high care clean room environment.
The static lifter is bolted to the floor of the processing area. The lifting machine frame has been redesigned and features base pads to enable the unit to be securely bolted to the floor.
The lifting solution features new electronics, including a new PCB and 240-volt power supply.
The lifting machine is fully powered by means of a 240-volt power supply rather than standard battery power. The load sends excess power to the battery when being lowered. To resolve this issue this lifter features capacitors to convert 240-volt to 12-volt. Excess energy is discharged to the capacitors. This feature prevents the printed circuit boards from being burnt out whilst the load is being handled.
The lifter encompasses a fully powered clamp attachment for handling drums of chemicals and emptying into a hopper.
The drum handling equipment lifts the drums and empties the contents using the rotation facility of the attachment. The drum lifting attachment is equipped with powered clamping and powered rotation to minimise manual handling.
This drum lifting solution is designed to be used in a clean room production facility, where 316L materials are required. Constructed entirely from 316L stainless steel, this lifting machine and attachment are suitable for high care clean room environments such as those found in the pharmaceutical industry.
The attachment is backed up by a fully bespoke design service, ensuring the right solution can be made to suit most requirements and applications.
All Packline attachments are fully interchangeable and can be easily fixed or removed from any model ‘Compac’ Lifting Machine that is fitted with the quick release system.
