This Clamping Vertical Spindle attachment has been specifically designed to suit the lifting and rotation of narrow reels which have a large core diameter and where the material on the reel has a tendency to ‘telescope’ whilst it is being handled.
The attachment has a gearbox with manual handwheel for the rotation to and from the vertical to horizontal orientations and a further handwheel provides the reel gripping and release actions.
In addition, a single, external clamping pad secures the reels on the external diameter which means that they can be lifted with ease and confidence.
The reels are securely gripped by the core. This mechanism has a torque limiter fitted so that the clamping fingers do not over or under tighten in the core. This enables the operator to lift and handle reels surely and safely. As with the reel core gripping, the clamping pressure is also carefully regulated to ensure safe action without risk of damaging the material on the reel.
The attachment has been re-designed to provide greater load capacity, strength, durability as well as improved wear resistance and enhanced ease of use which provides a simple and safe action. It is entirely suitable for the food industry and other hygienic applications.
Suitable for reels of film, foil, paper and various packaging materials, this attachment is backed up by a full bespoke design service so ensuring that the right solution can be made to suit most requirements.
All Packline attachments are fully interchangeable and can be easily fitted or removed from any model of Compac lifting machine that is fitted with the quick release system.
This attachment is also available with a powered reel rotation.
This lifting solution has a 300kg (661lbs) maximum capacity. Larger capacities and to suit other types and styles of reels with their materials are available on request.
