This Clamp Attachment has been designed to suit a pharmaceutical customer’s requirements where the Compac Lifting Machine is used to handle, load and unload Plastic Drums.

The attachment has powered drum rotation and a completely ‘tool-free’ clamping arrangement which uses a manually operated, quick-release mechanism to securely hold the drum in place.

In addition, it also incorporates an optional, pivoting drum cone incorporating a diaphragm flow control valve.

The valve retains the drum’s contents whilst the drum is lifted and rotated into the dispensing orientation. When the drum is in the emptying position the valve can be opened to allow the contents to flow.

This Compac lifting machine has a ‘Dual Column’. This feature allows the operator to lift the drum to a greater than standard emptying height.

The raising and lowering of the Drum Clamp attachment is made by a battery powered mechanism, operated by a combination of a selection switch and simple button controls. These provide both the ‘rotation’ and ‘up and down’ actions and are ergonomically and conveniently located on the machine’s control panel.

The machine’s ease of operation is further enhanced by a slow start feature providing the operator with precise and accurate positioning when handling, rotating and emptying the drums.

The design offers stability, robust strength and durability and together these features combine to provide the transportation of the Drums with ease, confidence and compete safety.

The attachment is backed up by a full bespoke design service ensuring the right solution can be made to suit most applications and requirements.

All Packline attachments are fully interchangeable and can be easily fixed or removed from any model of ‘Compac’ lifting machine that is fitted with the quick release system.

This attachment has a maximum capacity of up to 50kg however, higher rated, models may be available on request.

This bespoke handling solution offers a quick release, but fully secure, clamp to hold the drum in place, and there is no need for additional tooling to secure the drum.
