This Unique Clamp from Packline offers overhead clamping for unloading and loading reels in the horizontal orientation.
Using the clamp means that the core is kept free for any mandrel that may need to be positioned in cores prior to loading or when loaded directly onto a machine for unwinding.
This particular design has an extension block to allow the clamp to reach the centre of the pallet being used in the production area to ensure that the central reel can be picked up. Reels of diameter 620mm are used on this particular clamp design however various reel sizes can be incorporated within this design. Reels up to 110kg can be handled with attachment and Compac Mk5 combination.
Fixed low profile pads were required in this application due to the limited space available when loading the reel onto the trolley. Standard rollers or 'v' shaped pads could be replaced to allow a range of reel sized to be used on this type of clamp.
