Designed to lift and rotate a range of reel sizes · Maximum Load - 200kg · Reel Diameters - 200-550mm · Minimum Length 400mm To meet the customers request for a reel handling attachment with powered clamping the company adapted its standard Reel Handling Attachment by incorporating motor driven gearbox The controls for lifting and clamping were located on the top of the electrical cabinet. With safety in mind the customer requested that the operator was not able to operate either the lifting or clamping functions without using both hands, therefore further control buttons were added. To operate the clamp the operator needed to first press the 'clamp start' button on one side of the cabinet and then either the 'open' or 'close' button on the opposite side of the cabinet. The same was true for the lifting and lowering. |

As with the standard Reel Handling Attachments a torque limiter was incorporated into the design to ensure the correct gripping force was applied to safely lift the reel whilst at the same time prevent damage by over tightening. To enable other attachments to be used on the same Compac machine a simple connection plug was used to wire the Reel Handling Attachment allowing it to be simply removed if required. |
