Designed and produced for a leading car manufacturer the battery lifter was required to lift and position batteries weighing 26.5 kg into the vehicle during assembly.

The Compac and Attachment included a number of features:-
- Extending Arm section with sliding mechanism incorporating bearings for smooth operation - The arm could extend by 350mm to allow the operator to carefully and effortlessly position the battery.
- The battery lifting hook was able to rotate independently of the arm to change the orientation of the battery.
- Built in micro switches where used to isolate movement of the attachment should the arm come in contact with an obstacle thereby preventing damage to both the vehicle or injury to personnel

- The lift and lower control button where mounted in two positions at either end of the attachment enabling the operator full of control depending on what stage of the process he was at.

- A built in 15° arm rotation with a fixed locking position controlled by an index plunger.
- A ball ident mechanism was used to restrict movement allowing greater operator control.
